Metal Slitting Blade

Our metal slitting blade is made of high-quality steel and undergoes precision machining and heat treatment to ensure hardness and wear resistance. It should be noted that the thickness of the slitting circular knife will affect the width of the strip, and thicker circular knives cannot slice narrower strips.

Metal Slitting Blade

Function: Metal Slitting Blade is the core cutting tool of the metal slitting machine, responsible for cutting wide metal sheets into narrow strips of the desired width. Its sharpness and accuracy directly affect the quality of the slitting.

Separator Discs

Function: Separate slit metal strips, preventing tangling or damage, ensuring neat alignment and stable transport. They enhance recoiling quality, accommodate various strip widths, boost production efficiency, and protect surface integrity.

 slitting metal spacer

Function: Installed between the slitting circular knives, it plays a role in adjusting the slitting width and maintaining the spacing between the circular knives.

Rubber Bonded Spacer

Function: During the slitting process, assist in smoothly pushing the already divided metal narrow strips out of the circular knife to prevent material adhesion.

Hydraulic Nut

Function: Used to fix the slitting round cutter and other cutting tools on the cutter shaft, providing strong clamping force to ensure that the tools will not loosen during high-speed operation.

Rubber Spacer

Function: Polyurethane Rubber Spacer has good elasticity and wear resistance, and can withstand certain pressure and friction. It is usually installed in the transmission system of the equipment to transmit power and maintain the position of components. It can ensure that the equipment remains stable and reliable during operation.

FAQ

Different disc cutter blade materials are selected based on the type, thickness, and strength of the material being cut. Contact us with your specific material requirements, and we will provide you with the best solution.

To avoid chipping during the use of a disc cutter, the key is to reduce excessive localized stress or abnormal impact on the blade edge.

1. First, avoid cutting excessively hard materials or foreign objects. When cutting ultra-hard materials (such as high-hardness alloys), replace the blade with a suitable high-hardness blade beforehand. At the start of cutting, slowly allow the blade to contact the material, avoiding sudden heavy pressure or oblique cuts to prevent uneven stress on the blade edge and chipping. At the end, gradually reduce the pressure to reduce "blade-throwing" impact. Adjust parameters according to the material hardness; for hard materials, reduce the speed and feed rate to prevent the blade from overheating due to friction and increasing brittleness, leading to chipping.

2. Ensure the cutter and equipment are in good condition. During installation, ensure the disc cutter is concentric with the spindle, tighten the screws evenly, and avoid localized impacts between the blade and material due to shaking during operation. A dull blade increases cutting resistance and can easily lead to excessive localized stress. Regular inspection is necessary; if the blade becomes dull or develops minor chips, sharpen it promptly to restore its sharpness.

3. Use disc cutter accessories: Secure the material using rubber rings and wooden strips to ensure it does not shift during cutting and reduce accidental collisions caused by material movement.

There is no fixed standard for the lifespan of a disc cutter. It depends heavily on the following factors, which vary considerably:

1. Material and Hardness: High-speed steel disc cutters have a shorter lifespan, typically lasting from several thousand to tens of thousands of cycles; cemented carbide disc cutters are more wear-resistant and can last from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of cycles, suitable for high-intensity cutting.

2. Machining Material: When cutting thin and soft materials with low shearing impact, the cutter wears slowly and has a longer lifespan. However, when cutting hard, thick plates, wear accelerates, shortening the lifespan.

3. Usage Frequency and Load: Continuous operation or high-load cutting accelerates cutter wear; using the cutter at reasonable intervals and controlling the cutting force can extend its lifespan.

4. Maintenance: Regular cleaning, lubrication, and timely sharpening of the cutting edge can reduce wear; improper maintenance can lead to chipping and dulling of the cutting edge, significantly reducing its lifespan.

In actual use, the condition of the cutter should be checked regularly according to specific working conditions. If dulling or chipping occurs, it should be replaced or re-sharpened promptly to ensure processing efficiency and quality.

Extending its service life requires proper use, daily maintenance, and reasonable upkeep, while also ensuring consistent cutting quality.

Our professional technical team strictly controls multiple aspects, including raw materials, processing technology, and testing standards. For raw materials, we purchase from reputable suppliers and verify material certificates to ensure purity and prevent impurities from affecting the hardness and toughness of the cutters. Cutters, spacers, rubber rings, wooden strips, and other accessories are all manufactured in-house. Our cutting edges are machined using imported CNC grinding machines, with precision controlled within 0.01mm. Each cutter undergoes three hardness tests and trial cuts before leaving the factory; any substandard products are scrapped. Products undergo rigorous testing by a dedicated quality inspection department upon entering the warehouse. Only products without any quality issues are accepted for warehousing and shipment; we will never deliver defective products to our customers.

The accuracy of a circular cutter is tested using professional instruments to quantitatively measure key accuracy parameters (such as radial runout, end face flatness, and dimensional tolerances).
